When I first moved to this apartment complex in 2007, I was treated with respect and kindness. I moved there for the sole purpose that they allowed dogs and I would be allowed to have 2 in the future when I could afford the extra deposit. I always paid my rent on time, never complained as it was a nice quiet complex. Flash forward to June 2008, I was married and could afford the 2nd dog. I called down there double checked that I could still have a 2nd animal, went and adopted a dog. Before I brought her home, i went and gave the office her pet deposit of $400, making it perfectly clear it was for a second dog. They filled out their form and sent me on my way. Then I recieved a call minutes later asking for a prorated pet rent for the new dog for june. My check was cashed and we were a happy family. July 1st rolled around and I recieved my bill for my rent which did not include either dog on it. I assumed they had forgotten so I included the extra $50 on my check. The next day I recieved a call asking why I had more money on my check, which I said included my dogs. Oh suddenly I was not allowed to have 2 dogs, was forced to get rid of one of my dogs and was suppossed to get my $400 back. I was told they had new management and no more 2 dogs. This new management was months ago which means they knew when I called and came in with my money and it was cashed. They claim that they would do the same to anyone breaking any sort of rule. That was july 3rd...that very day I saw someone else with 2 cats sitting right in a window for anyone to see. Since then I have been watched..spied on...and still no money. I see violation after violation day after day, stickers on windows, 2 cats, air conditioners in windows (some having been there months), fans in windows with clothes on them which is a fire hazard. Yet my fan which barely sticks out of my window is a problem and I was harassed until I removed it, my second dog was a problem so I had to get rid of it but yet other people still have 2 cats you can see, stickers, air conditioners way out on windows but the office doesnt see this..its that way all day everyday. There seems to be a bias going on here based on race (I am white) and several people i have spoken to in the complex who are white agree. Last friday 7/18 I was suppossed to recieve my money, then it was yesturday 7/25 now maybe 7/28. It was suppossed to be picked up now its being mailed. This apartment complex has major issues with money, bias and lying. i recommend it noone but espically if you own pets and are white.
