The manager is really bad and tries to rip tenants off by screwing with the electric meter. Also tries to put off doing maintenance until it's convient for them, meaning during only working hours no matter if it's an emergency or not. Also will not return your deposit. Be sure to have a video camera when they conduct the final inspection of your apartment prior to leaving, also do the same thing when you move in. DON'T STAY THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think its possible to tamper with a meter. I live here and I have had no problems even closely resembling your response. I havent moved out, but they have always been nice in the office, and my repairs were always completed.

I lived there from 2001-2004 in S-13, and I noticed strange things with my meter as well. I can't say that they "tampered" with it, but they dragged their feet the whole time trying to get the repair people to do anything. When the guy from the electrical company came out, he said everything was fine. During the warmer months, the bill seemed fine. As soon as it cooled down, the bill almost doubled! And, no, we NEVER ran the heater, nor did we increase our electrical usage in any way???believe me, I kept that all in check because of the huge increase in our bill. So, like I said, I can't say that management is messing with the meters; I don't even know if it would even be possible for them to do so. Maybe some of the wiring for my unit somehow got re-routed to an adjacent one???like perhaps the heating wiring???and everytime that unit used that circuit, it would show up on MY meter. But it's like pulling teeth to get them to even acknowledge the problem, and when they do???which by this time is spring, and my bill is normal???we're told that there's nothing wrong.
