Basically OK place to live

I lived there for a year.
The place was the cheapest decent apartment in a decent neighborhood that I could find. It was quiet, well-kept outside, and there was a nice hot tub and pool. The lady Allison in the leasing office was very competent and responsive to requests. It was also within easy access of the 805 fwy.

The only things that were disadvantages to living there were that they were kind of stingy about maintenance. In general stuff did not break, which was a blessing. However, if something did break, they were kind of stingy about it. For example, my stove had one stove eye that did not work, and there was something wrong with the oven (canned biscuits that normally take 14-17 minutes at 350 degrees were burned in 8 minutes at that temperature). They had the maintenance guy come up there with a thermometer, and he said "I can't see anything wrong with it" (although obviously something was not right), so they never did anything about it. I couldn't use the oven the entire year I lived there. Which sucked.

The second thing was parking. If you have one car, it's probably fine. There is one assigned parking space. However, if you have more than 1 car, you have to park your car on the street on this windy street that goes up a hill. Especially if you come home late at night, you will have to park your car way up the hill. There is absolutely NO lighting up on that hill, because there are no street lights up there. Apparently the apt has tried to get a street light put in, but they can't because it's private property up there and the owner of the property (not the same person who owns the apts) won't pay to put a street light in there. And some kind of jurisdiction conflict between city and county if the government were to do it, yada yada. So the apt has tried to get lighting in there, but it does not seem like that will happen anytime soon because of the property lines and the jurisdiction issues.

Other than these 2 things, I had no problems living there.
