Obviously the truth hurts. Actually we are one of the best tennants that this complex has ever had. We pay our rent well in advance (seldom does any one else), we keep our apartment in A1 shape. We have lived here for 8 1/2 years, so if we are one of the so called few BAD TENNANTS then why does management continue to offer us new leases? Furthermore, I believe since I am the only on that seems to report the crime problems, which management should be doing, I feel that I should be getting paid to do their job--since management obviously doesn't care about the crime problems that effect the tennants.

It's so ooooobbbvious that the H. S. staff gets on here and writes these responses. Hmmmm....could that be before or after they are screwing over their tenants?

In case anyone is unaware-California tenant/landlord law states that crime must be reported by the local police department or CHP. An apartment complex is a private property and therefore is not liable nor responsible for reporting crime. California is in the top five in the country for vehicle theft and vandalism. It is not the role of an apartment community to be the police nor act on their behalf. Any rational person(s) living in this world knows that you must take extra precautions to protect what is yours, period! It doesnt matter where you live. Ask yourself this question, if a place is that horrible, then why would someone continue to live there for close to nine years? A friendly reminder out there to all those who read the aforementioned negative response-look at it for what it is-a disgruntled person looking for someone to blame for their irresponsibilty in taking care of their property and not looking in the mirror and seeing maybe they are the ones who should straighten up and fly right.

Y'know, a friend of mine went to the Sunrise Mall and didn't lock his car doors and his car got stolen! Can you IMAGINE that the mall management and security didn't tell him to take those "extra precautions" and *lock* his door or that there had been recent thefts at the mall? I will NEVER shop there again because they obviously don't care about their patrons!
C'mon, are you serious? You live in Citrus Heights. Off a main road. Like the reviewer before mine, it is not the responsibility of the property to notify you that there have been thefts anymore than it is the responsibility of the mall staff to notify you of recent thefts. Hopefully you had some good renter's/automobile insurance and can stop blaming HS for something that was your own fault.

After living here for 9 years, it didn't start getting bad until approximately a year ago, hence the living here for nine years, the first 8 were great. if the property management cared about its tenants wouldn't they want them to know about crime problems in their complex? One would think so.
Does it hurt to tell the tenants that someone's car has been vandalized or stolen or that a unit has been broken into?? It may not be a requirement but one would think that the mamagement would look out for the tenants.
Also, just because a person's car is either broken into or stolen does not mean that the owner was negligant and should be blamed. Our cars are always locked and double checked to make sure every evening. Our car was locked and under our covered spot the night our car was stolen. I made it apparent to the other tenants as to what happened because I care about people. I am a concerned citizen.
The complex has a great location and nice grounds but the office staff could be a little more caring and comcerned for it's tenants---which is not asking to much.
