Do NOT Live Here! You WILL Regret It! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/6/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I lived here for 6 months and hated every moment. The location is nice, close to shopping, and fairly close to the freeway, but that is about the best qualities of this place. As we were signing the lease, I asked about the crime level and the lady told us that it's such a nice place that she couldn't even remember the last time someone complained about any kind of crime. Well...That was a flat out lie. My very first night there, my car was broken into and the stereo was stolen from the covered parking spot. The management acted like it was no big deal and did nothing about it except state how we probably didn't lock the car (which we did). The parking here was terrible. You get the one covered spot and if you have a second vehicle, you must park on the street because there were never open spots. There was always at least one car parked on the street with busted out windows. The noise level was terrible also. The people up stairs would blast their stereo at all hours of the night and go in and out slamming doors at two in the morning. When we reported it to the office staff, they just told us others have already complained and they will send a warning. This went on for 5 months with the managers doing nothing about it except send "warnings." None of the apartments have w/d hook ups, but they do have a laundry mat that is filthy and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 2 years. Five months into our lease I had to buy a new car. My car was parked in our parking space for 5 hours when it was stolen. I spoke to other tenants in the apartments and they told me this type of stuff happens quite often and they have had cars stolen or broken into and reported it to the office, proving the office staff are not trustworthy people. The management said it must have happened between the time the security guards left and the office staff came on to work. Security guards'''' Five months and I never say the security guards, not even once. When reporting the car stolen, the office staff would do nothing to help and were so rude and ugly towards us. We asked to be let out of our lease one month early because the place was not safe and our cars keep getting vandalized. The manager laughed at us and said sorry your stuck here, you can move out but we will not rent your apartment and you will be responsible for whatever happens while your not there. To sum up things, the office staff were evil people not caring about any of their tenets and they would do nothing to ensure a safe environment even when it was brought to there attention. Very unprofessional!!! Granted, the landscape was nice with a pool and all but when I did use the pool, I was yelled at by the maintenance guy, saying I wasn't allowed to swim because I was too young and had no parents with me. (I'm in my twenties) When I told him my age and told him my parents do not live with me and offered to show him my ID, he still refused to believe me. Living here was by far the worst experience of my life!!!!!! Also, there is a big mold problem!
