Salishan is not to be judged by its cover. It looks really nice on the outside, management seems friendly, etc. However, this management is a joke! I have lived here only 1 and 1/2 yrs and we are on our 4th mgr!! Salishan claims to be a "luxury gated community". BIG LIE!! So-called "Security Gates" are always broken,left wide open, and when you call to tell mgmt, they act like they had no idea. How can they not notice when they live here too and their office sits right in front of them! Besides, we are not located in the best area of town, which should give them a reason to be more ---- about the security gate! Some people were shot and killed in a robbery here a year ago. There is also a bar located in front of the complex and since the gates are left open all nite long, we have strange characters coming in and out, partying in our parking lots and leaving beer bottles around. There is no security guard here!! So whenever there is a problem, who do you call' When we 1st moved here they told us they do not raise the rent consecutively after the end of each lease. Also they said if they raise it, it won?t go up more thatn $25! Ours went up like $50!!Our rent has gone up twice. For a total of 10.5% more than what we paid when we 1st moved here!!! Also, salishan is in the process of renovating balconies in here! They told us the job would go on from June until late August. Guess what'' Its October and there is still no peace and quiet to be found here!! Construction and all the loud noise, construction guys cussing with their loud music playing. Overall, I am not satisfied! Neither are most of my neighbors! So this is not just the opinion of one person (me). This is the collective thoughts of many tenants who talk about these issues!! -Thanx
