Almost anything is better

When we first moved in the apartments were a nice place to live. The managers were great and cared about keeping the complex nice. They were so great the management company promoted them and then everything went downhill from there. In three years we had 4 different managers. Each one got a little worse. The last year we were there we could not use our balcony because of dryrot. All the balconies were eventually being repaired. But a few months into the repair work it all stopped. A different contractor was coming in. Never saw any work being done anywhere. The swimming pool was closed by the state. It was peasoup green. They were letting trash move in and we really felt unsafe living there. Our adjoining neighbor was moved from her apartment by the management because of toxic mold. Nothing was ever said to us by the management. We would find used condoms on the sidewalk. People were in the swimming pool at 2:00 in the morning. I went from upscale to a ghetto. I would not risk my life living here.
