Ignore that other old review. A lot has changed around this place to make it the craphole it is today. These days its a fight for which member fo the community is the biggest pain in the rear end.

The police do have a hang out here but its more of a stategic outpost than a secure presence. They can sit around eating donuts in their place until the patrons of two bars next door go speeding down the street keeping everyone up between 12 and 2 and then it's time for action. The ever present, ticket happy CHPD who will cost you $35 every few months in parking tickets that they wrote up while they were bored and stuck on your second car that you have to leave on the street.

In spite of the police presence vandalism runs rampant here. The residents and local riff raff vandalize the facilities, the street in front of the complex, and most importantly your car. If you are moving here to save on rent, expect to fork that savings out to pay for the damage to your car and personal property.

The apartment complex is no longer making significant upgrades to the premises. The sport court has been disheveled for the better part of a year with the basketball hoops ripped out and the tether ball pole for the kids being non existant. The pool resembles more of a cement pond with no shade and a few cheap loungers outside because the hood people can't have nice community property. They also to a terrible job of keeping out people from the neighborhood so you never know who will show up.

If you live in an upstairs apartment you can expect a false ceiling with poor insulation. Over an outdated air conditioning unit that requires YOU to change the filter in every month. We regularly pay over $200 in electric during summer months in our little apartment and nine months of the year we pay over $100.

The complex also has an insane ant problem that they also don't advertise. The exterminator doesn't get rid of them, just sprays so they go into the apartments of people who didn't get sprayed instead. Ants are always in my kitchen and actually at one point built a nest in my VCR! Hundreds of Eggs, queen, and the whole nine yards!

Since my fingers are getting bloody from all the typing I'm going to end with the management. The manager is apathetic and generally unresponsive though to her credit she has gotten a little better recently. (maybe she moved in and realized how bad this place is) When packages are delivered to the office they will often sit for long periods of time until you go get it or pay the rent and she says hey you have a package here. Things you ask for like apartment repairs don't get done in a timely manner and a look around the community overall will sell you on that. They make no effort to change the AC filters on their own each month. You have to go get that and install it yourself if you want. The list goes on.

Anyway, if you love have your cars vandalized, ticketed unneccessarily, poorly lit areas where shady bar patrons lurk, drunk people speeding past your complex and playing loud music at the wee hours, people from the area coming over to use and destroy the community property, paper thin walls you can hear your neighbors fight through, and mediocre management with no initiative to improve conditions then welcome to your new 'hood.
