I stayed in this apartment for couple of years and moved out recently, it is very nice place though it is a old apartment and see many water shut downs. However, as it is a un gated community it is easily accessible to anyone, it is not safe and there are many auto and property thefts were reported and apartment management is reluctant to employ security

The problems outlined in a recent comment about Plumtree are not entirely true. There are water shut downs, but they're infrequent and last less than two hours; it is not an inconvenience because they're in the middle of the day when most people are at work. Yes, it is an ungated community, but knowing that it's up to residents to take all necessary precautions to avoid thefts. Auto thefts primarily occur because residents don't use their assigned, electronically controlled garages. Management does not need to provide security, it's up to us to do our part.

Whether or not Plum Tree Management as written this response, it is in dire need of a response itself. Any company, school or industry could use this same reasoning of "it's up to you to do your part" to avert negative attention to their establishment when such events occur. Clearly everyone must do a part to an extent, but to wag the finger at residents for crimes committed against them is absurd, particularly when it comes to both auto and property thefts (which clearly has nothing to do with a mis-parked car), all of which are not entirely preventable no matter how many precautions are taken. Additionally, if water shut downs were indeed insignificant and not inconvenient due to their timing, then why are there complaints about it? In this instance, it is completely up to Plum Tree Management to take all necessary precautions to ensure that residents receive the water that they are PAYING FOR. Even moreso, this author is forgetting that these people are not just residents of an apartment complex, but this is their HOME. I do hope the author of this is not Plum Tree's Management, lest they do not mind coming off careless in providing a welcoming, functioning, safe community. Perhaps Plum Tree Apartments should do THEIR part, and recognize that this posting is not intended to damage Plum Tree, but to point out a serious problem that needs to be addressed with improvements - not criticism.

The author of this respose was indeed NOT the Plum Tree Management, but in fact a very happy Plum Tree resident.
