Decent...if you can afford it From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/4/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   I've been here a year and so far we haven't had any major problems that have made us want to move out immediately. When we first looked at the place, it seemed much nicer than the average apartment complex. The ducks and ponds are nice, but there are billions of mosquitos always around... it's hard to walk around outside. There is never really any noise outside, although we can hear every move the people upstairs make... the floor upstairs is super squeaky and we can hear closet doors and windows open/close. Oh and the parking is a little annoying. The only place for visitors to park is way up front outside of the gates and it is a long hike back to our apartment since we're in the back. This is very inconvenient because some of my friends are single females who are afraid to walk back alone late at night. The complex is also kind of dark, not all the lights work outside. The most major thing that has just become a problem is the rent. It is absolutely outrageous! Colton is not a big city or such an ideal location where rent should be this expensive! When we moved in, our 1 bedroom was $800. Now, one year later, it is $865!!! Outrageous! This aparment is decent, but not worth $865 (not including the $30 refrigerator fee and the $11 insurance fee per month). The surrounding area is not the best (Pizza Hut won't deliver in this area after dark). Although, it is convenient here. Right up the street there is a gas station, lots of places to eat, Wal-Mart is right across the street and you can catch 2 major freeways very easily. Grocery store and Blockbuster/Hollywood are equally one mile from the apts. Also a new Starbucks just opened practically next door.
