Palm Lake Apartments

I loved my time at Palm Lake Apartments From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/13/2008 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007   I lived at Palm Lake Apartments for 3 years and I loved it. It is a great location. You have open spaces and bike/walking trails within a mile of the complex. Plenty of nearby shopping and Walnut Creek is just 5 miles away for even higher end shopping. The apartments are well maintained and very quite. You have one assigned parking spot in a gated garage but there is plenty of parking outside of the gates for additional cars. Every building has working elevators and low rise stairs. I only needed maintenance a couple of times but each time I called they came right up. The building halls aren't as attractive as they could be but lets face it, with that many people moving around it's probably hard to keep them pristine. The grounds are very well maintained. It is a gated community but there is still theft so use common sense here just like you would anywhere. I had my bicycle stolen the first night I locked it up in the bike stalls down in the gated garage. A year later I also had my car ransacked. The door was locked but the window was partially opened so someone stuck their arm in and unlocked the door. No damage done and nothing of real value stolen. The theft that I experienced looked like it was caused by juveniles/teens out to cause a bit of trouble. I wouldn't say the rent was too high for the area. You may be able to find cheaper apartments in Concord but who would want to live in those neighborhoods' And I'm certain you can't find cheaper rent in Walnut Creek and that is only a couple miles over. I would move back to Palm Lake Apartments in a heart beat if I move back into the area.
