Misleading--Expensive Rent for Cheap Apt From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/2/2003 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003   A/C keeps breaking down, ovens are broken down, plumbing is very poor (toilets always back up). Walls are paper thin, blinds on windows have gaps for lack of privacy. Electrical sockets are so old and worn, plugs will not stay in without extreme measures, carpets are cheap, door locks are ragged, DSL lines not available from Phone company, entry gates often left open, drugs used in open without fear. Repairs by the landlords are spotty. RECOMMENDATIONS: If you choose to rent here, DO NOT sign the year lease, start with a monthly lease. Get everything in writing that the leasing agents promises, ie, parking location, speed of repairs after reported, new carpeting, check oven thoroughly including broiler, new locks on front door and storage door on patio. ** Please encourage everyone you know who rents to use this site so we can expose the landlords who think renters are an easy mark *******
