NOT a nice place to live

I lived in this apt with my boyfriend for 6 months. If we had known about this website prior to moving in I know that we wouldn't have signed a lease with Country Hills. I'm just sooo glad it wasn't a year's lease. By the end of the first week we wanted to move out but we had to suck it up and stay there thru the end of the lease.
Pros:
Rent is pretty cheap...it was $845 for 2 bed/1ba when we stayed there.
Cons:
ALOT of crime seems to go on in and around the complex. We never felt safe living here. Lots of police sirens and ambulance.
-A lot of shady looking guys loiter around the parking lot at all hours of the day. Parking is a nightmare.
-Pretty noisy during the day and especially at night.
-Lots of children running around so you have to be very careful backing out your car.
-Laundry room is dirty.
-Whenever it rained, A LOT of water dripped down from the ceiling. There were wet spots everywhere in our apt which created a pretty nasty smell.
- For us the mail room was far from the apt. We had to drive there, which was lame. Mail room was also dirty, lots of letters and phamplets all over the grounds.
-Office staff/maintenance takes a long time to resolve issues. They seem to be very disorganized.
-They withhold A LOT of your security deposit when you move out even if you thoroughly clean the place.
Bottom line is DON'T LIVE HERE. You will regret signing a lease with this place. I hope that it has gotten better but from the postings that I've read it doesn't seem like it.

You are right! I have never really seen any crime here, but the Laundry room is nasty, the mail room is a mess, our mailbox was broken, the staff takes forever to resolve issues. I had to get irate a few times with them. I don't play that mess. The water turns from hot to cold during your shower, we had sewage/booboo coming up through our shower when the toilet was clogged every other week. People are NOISY as heck. There are a TON of low income tenants. The area is just not a nice place to live. The rent is VERY affordable, but you could not pay me to live here again.
