Marquessa Apartments

I pay $811 to live in a teepee.... From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/14/2002 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002   I moved in 6/02 and from day one I knew the next 8 mos would be hell. I complained about the neighbors above me doing laundry at 1:00am and later. And the summertime was the worst because their kids were home and the noise level was outrageous. I often work until 2:30am and sleep during the day, and would often go to a hotel nearby just to get some sleep.I called the apts numerous times and was told they would get a courtesy call and a letter.When I asked to see the letter, they couldnt supply me with it.... When I moved into the apartment one of the burners wasn't working and it took over 3 weeks to get it fixed. Also some of the outlets weren't working and it took another 2 weeks for that to be fixed. My closet door has a huge hole in it and was covered up and painted over..I'm sure you can imagine how lovely it looks. And now for the most enjoyable experience I got to have at Marquessa is lead coming from the pipes above into my bath tub, it was so disqusting, and it took the apartment over a month to get someone out to fix it, and then they couldnt fix it and had to call an outside co. I read in the paperwork they give you that if your service request isnt handled within 2 days you can start deducting rent....LIE! I tried that and was told NO. Parking is a joke, I refuse to park in my garage because its on a blind corner and I come home at 2:30am and I'm female and refuse to walk that far...and since there is never any parking, I have to park outside the gates.My biggest complaint is the price I pay to live in a studio, not a jr. one bedroom. Also, the maintenace crew is disqusting, always leering at me and driving by to check me out. I wouldnt doubt they are former criminals.I can NOT WAIT until my lease is up in Feb. especially since the rent is raised to $851 to live in this hell hole. Also, forget ever trying to use the little "gym" they have, unless you like disqusting guys always checking you out and trying to hit on you, or people dragging there kids in there, not to mention its hot and they have no fans in there, you just have to open the door and the equipment is always full. This apartment is perfect if you have kids so all the kids and snotty parents can annoy each other.
