River Ridge Apartments ROCKS!

I've moved to these apartments a few days ago on a 3 month lease (monthly extra for short lease). Right now I'm waiting for my new house at the Estates at Providence Ranch (in Corona) to be built.

So far so good. Ever since I stepped into the office for the first time, I knew that these were one of the best apartments in Corona, and I was right. My apartment had new carpeting, vinyl flooring, and paint installed. Everything else was so clean, I was very impressed, except for the dishwasher, it seemed to have accumulated some hard water stains, but it was probably the previous renter's fault for not cleaning it.

There were a few maintenance problems such as a loose towel bar and the alarm system not working (yes, there's monitored alarm system included) but they quickly came and fixed the problem.

In my 2 bedroom apartment there is one sliding door in the living room and one in the first bedroom that both lead to the outside patio. In the patio, there are two locked double doors where you will find your own water heater and laundry hookups.

Since I'm on the first floor, I do occassionally hear my neighbor upstairs walking around, but I don't seem to mind that as it is normal.

Each unit comes with a one-car garage with opener and remote. You also get another remote to open the gate to the complex.

The staff is very friendly, even after you sign the lease... so they actually want you to stay, not leave like I've heard at the other apartments. They even gave extra controllers for the rest of the occupants in my apartment! How generous.

There is a small swimming pool that ranges from 3 to 5 feet deep (so small and shallow for me). There is also a whirlpool and barbecue grills nearby.

There is a clubhouse that you can borrow for the day for no extra charge. Next to it is the exercise room and a convenient soda vending machine.

If you don't have a washer and dryer yet (you can rent from Azuma for $29 a month), you can go to one of the several laundry rooms. It costs 75 cents to operate the washer or dryer.

Maintenance of everything in the complex from the landscaping and working fixtures and gates looks excellent.

Did I go into the amenities of my 2-bedroom apartment yet'... okay, it comes with a dishwasher, range, hood, dual basin sink, and pre-plumbing for refrigerator ice maker. There's a ceiling fan in the dining room. The living room has a gas fireplace with mantel. Ceramic tile front entry. The master bedroom has a large closet with mirrored doors. Each bathroom has a tub. There's central air/heat. Each room has a phone jack and cable television outlets. Hmm... what else, oh yes the alarm system. Each window and door has a sensor that is wired to the alarm. Therefore, if one is OPENED, the alarm will sound. However, there are no glass breakage or motion sensors so a burglar who breaks a window will not set off the alarm, but hey, what other apartment complex offers an alarm in the first place' Monitoring (calls the police) is optional for I think $30 for the first year.

What else have I not talked about... the garage. Yes, you get your own garage with opener w/ remote, not just some carport. The garage will nicely accomodate a car and LOTS of boxes (or whatever) in front. I my garage, there were lots of shelves at the end of the garage (I wonder if the apartment installed those or if the previous renter did, hmm, but anyway there's lots more room to put boxes there with or without the shelves). The garage door is the swing up time, not the sectional roll up type. The garage door opener is a LiftMaster 1/2 horse power model (am I getting too detailed'). If you have another car, it must park in one of the parking spaces inside the complex.

Whew! That's my review. There is no way that I can describe EVERYTHING in this review, but I did the best I could. Now go out there and get a lease, you won't be disappointed.
