Flawed but not without its merits

We liked the apartment overall, but be sure to read the contract carefully. We just found out after we had moved out that the complex is replacing the carpet (which they told us they do anyway) and is charging us to replace it. We would not have a problem with this if they had told us up front, that we would have to replace the carpet, and an estimate of how much it would cost.

The parking is fine if you will only park your car there. Having guests or family over is an absolute nightmate. You get to park your car and anyone who lives there in assigned spaces (with permits) or a garage, but there is NO guest parking, and parking outside the gated community is not safe, or easy.

The maintenance was great, and any problem we had was fixed very fast.

The noise from the landscapers was a problem when our daughter was trying to nap, but if you have an apartment on the 2nd or 3rd floor it shouldnt be such a problem.

Hi: I have lived here for a year. It's nice in appearance and maintenance. It's sickening that they charged you for the carpet replacement. The parking lot asphalt needs resurfacing, because it's greasing up the carpet big time. I have tar heal = greasy feet from walking on the carpet barefoot. We always take our shoes off at the door too boot. I hate to think about moving with those costs coming to mind.

I'm so sorry your carpet was damaged by heavy soil and large stains that were not able to be removed. The life of the carpet is five years, you were only charged a prorated amount for the remainder of carpet life. You enjoyed new carpet when you moved in,the new resident shouldn't have to live with stained carpet.

i love how blatantly obvious it is that staff write/reply to most of these comments (although, i'm sure not all). it's actually a deterrent. i'd rather hear from the actual residents. i want to read *their* opinions because i'm currently looking for a new complex to move into. i appreciate honest, uninhibited opinions that aren't responded to by the staff to try to salvage every single entry into something positive or something that the resident said in a "misdirected" way. that's the entire point of this site. if i wanted to see staff shut off opinions and try to sell their property for something perfect and unflawed, i'd just shuffle through your brochure.
