I've lived here for almost 2 years. I will be leaving shortly!!! I had a very LARGE rodent got under the hood of my car and caused almost $200 worth of damage. Rodents in my storage compartment as well. The complex was nice enough to give me $50 for the damage to my car.
The last time I renewed my lease, I was told that they were only giving 1 year leases. I only wanted a 6 month lease as I was expecting a transfer. So, I renewed for 1 year expecting to have to break my lease after about 6 months. The very next day after signing my new 1 year lease, I got a phone call from the office telling me to come by and sign my new 6 month lease! I called and gave them a piece of my mind but, I never returned to sign a 6 month lease...I don't have time to sit in thier office waiting for them to "fix" it.
The office staff all seem like very nice people but, I suspect they are driven by management to produce and make all the money they can from the residents! Everytime I've gone there, they can never seem to give me an answer. They always have to get back to me because they don't know anything!
Maintanence has be pretty good...always show up when they say they will.
Parking' Did you want to be able to park where you live and have guests' Forget it! You'll have an assigned spot but, any guests must leave by 6pm or risk being towed away! Well, they can park outside the gates on the street!
Overall, this is a very noisy complex and the type of people living here are not the most desirable. Kids run screaming, riding bikes and skateboards even though it is forbidden to do so! People smoke in common areas too...that is forbidden in the lease agreement as well.
The only bonus for these people is that they do allow small pets! That's why I came here but, I've regreted moving here from almost day ONE!
The laundry is usually okay. I did have one problem with going back to find my clothes in the dryer still wet. I found out that there were people in there who did not speak english who opened my dryers and then didn't restart them. There are a lot of people here who do not speak english! This is quite annoying to me! It's like living in mexico. Also, they do treat you different if your a white person. Recently, all the shrubs were trimmed. EXCEPT in front of my neighbors patio. The only reason I could see for that is that she speaks spanish and was able to tell the gardeners (also mexican) not to trim them. I complained and stated that I too like the privacy that those shrubs allow my patio as well, but, mine were trimmed. Well, I'm a white girl! By the way those other shrubs have NEVER been trimmed in the 2 years I've lived here. Mine have been trimmed so many times I can't even tell you! I will be breaking my lease in a couple of months to move closer to my new job!

I FIND YOUR THOUGHTS PRETTY INTERESTING BECAUSE I TOO LIVE AT THE SPRINGS AND I FELL LIKE IT'S MORE LIKE LIVING IN KENTUCKY...THE ONLY TRASHY PEOPLE I SEE AT THE COMPLEX ARE WHITE. I GUESS PARTYING ALL NIGHT IN THE PATIO (DRINKING BEER AND SMOKING POT) MONDAY-SUNDAY IS BETTER THEN SPEAKING SPANISH. THE WHITE GUYS THAT I'VE SEEN IN THE COMPLEX MUST HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST WEARING T-SHIRTS, BUT I GUESS WHEN YOUR USED TO LIVING ON A FARM OR IN A TRAILOR-PARK THAT'S THE THING TO DO. I FIND YOUR COMMENTS EXTREMELY RACIST AND IGNORANT AND I WOULD HAVE NEVER RESPONDED TO THIS BLOG IF THEY WEREN'T SO FOOLISH. NEXT TIME TELL THE WHOLE STORY. THERE'S ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT "UNDESIRABLE" PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE NOT JUST --------.
