Overall The Lakes is a great place to live. The grounds are well maintained and there is always ample security around and most of the staff are very nice and helpful.
I especially love the state of the art gym; it's convenient for me to work out close to my apartment plus I don't need to join a gym.
One drawback though is the insulation. I'm not sure if it's just my unit, but cold air seems to seep through the windows, through the door, and through the fireplace. It's always freezing in my apartment. The heater doesn't seem to work very well and the heater is actually quite loud, I would have preferred a more quiet and powerful heater. Does anyone else have insulation/heater problems or is it just me'
There are also some tenants here who don't dispose there garbage properly through the trash chute but leave it in front of the door of the trash room. I have actually seen someone's trash in a shopping cart in front of the trash room. This is no fault of the management but that of the particular individuals but I suppose that's unavoidable no matter where you live.
