I have read the most recent reviews and I don't know what building these people live in but I live in the H building and LOVE IT!! I moved into one of the remodled units. The kitchen is INSANELY awesome, I have never seen so much counter space and the appliances aren't cheap like most new places. It feels much more like a condo then an apartment. I face the lake and the view is soo nice at night.
The gym is great, is never crowded which is weird to me because it is so nice and had so much equipment, it really feels like a new 24-hour fitness gym. The pool gets crowded on the weekends and supposedely it will get even worse when those cabanas get the TV's and speakers. but it's a fun vibe for sure!
Nothing ghetto about the place, though. I don't know how anyone here thinks it is ghetto. I moved here from Beverly Hills and this place/area is just as clean and with the #1 music hall in the world across the street, feels just as high class.
There is a lot of construction going on but i'm never home during the day so i guess i miss most of it. My girlfriend says it can get loud though, but it stops by 3 or 4 pm and they arent here on the weeknds.
Pros: Pool, Gym, inside of apartments are nice, location ROCKS! Cons: construction, some of the amenities aren't finished yet

I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. I could care less about a personal garage. As long as i have covered, assigned parking I'm good. What's important to me is a nice kitchen, storage and a full gym. The kitchen is the best kitchen I've seen and I looked EVERYWHERE. Nothing comes close to the kitchens here. The appliances are high end. There is a ton of storage and I like that the laundry room is outside on the balcony, not in the apartment. And we all know the gym is insane. The rock gym is what actually sold me. But i will not tolerate being neglected by the office. If that ever happens to me it won't be pretty. so far though, they've been nothing but nice and helpful.

You are still new! just wait and see. You can gut an apartmartment but you can't gut the piping and plumbing. And your response to the last person who responded to you? uh, he-llo, read the other reviews! The off can give a crap with their incompetent, pompous employees!!!! Your rent will go up! you'll see. Enjoy it now til it lasts. . . oh and you are getting ripped off you know. The brand new apartments across the way with your own personal garage is going for way less than what you are paying for now!!! ha ha, guess the jokes on you!

CurlyQ you must have not done your research before moving here. I don't know it's not rocket science. Read the reviews over the last fourteen months or so that many like minded people come on! I've been across the street and that poster is correct. You can get a 2 bedroom for $1900 with private garage and 100% new everything. They are getting over $2000 for a small one bedroom here with cosmetic updates but old pipes, plumbing, and electrical. This was a quick fix panic re-hap cause they knew Irvine Co. was coming... The word is slowing getting out. This complex is the most expensive for as old as the property is. Disagree if you must but most of your fellow tenants agree you've gotten ripped off. Just wait til you have an issue and have to contact the office. They don't care... They only care about signing up another unsuspecting fool to overpay for these poorly constucted units. Good Luck...

In the 7 years that I've lived here, they've had their share of "dumb rocks" in the office. Those "rocks" have not lasted long. With unemployment increasing, especially in the service industry, I have faith that if I was extremely frustrated with staff interactions (and others frustrated as well) that there would be a staff change. I've already seen it last year. You know? Sometimes, staff response is in response to how WE come across. There are so many "entitled" people in OC that I can imagine staff has had to, more than once, suppress the desire to choke a few "customers". :)

wait til summer when there bad electrical makes your bills sky rocket. You should check out your appliances and a/c to see what they are using and how old it really is. Also, be weary of all the bugs and poor maintenance and a management that answers the phone nice but is not very helpful.

By the way, I have a little spy that says CurlyQ is an AimCo Employee.
If not, CurlyQ, you need a man.. because you spend way too much time on here defending people.
I hear the dude with the corvette is a Stud.
