Now called Avalon Newport From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/14/2003 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2003   I have lived at Avalon Newport (formerly Lafayette Place)for three years and love my home. I moved into this community because it doesn't feel like an apartment. I live in the best location, only a couple blocks of E. 17th street and 1.5 miles from the beach. My roomates and I always ride our bikes down to Newport or around the Back Bay. The maintenance has done every work order I have requested the same day I call the office. Oh..and not to mention that the office staff is very friendly, and always asking if anything needs to be done in my apt! The floorplans are very spacious and have a lot of closet space and even the cabinets are a cute light birch color rather than those typical white with 15 coats of paint cabinets that most apartment complexes have. I will probably stay here until I buy a home...I would recommend Avalon Newport to anyone!
