Great Location but Over Priced...Prehistoric roaches, termites in and around apt, ugly furry spiders. Apt is extremly hot during the summer (especially if you live on the 2nd flr). Security Service is slow and useless. Water bill is ridiculous( you not only pay for what you use but everyone elses, sprinklers, pool..etc.) The neighbor that lives beneath me is RUDE A-HOLE GOIN' THROUGH A MID LIFE CRISIS' VERY INCONSIDERATE...plays loud music til the early morning...Managment knows of the situation but does Absolutely Nothing!!! Parking is hell after 8pm..Fitness Center equipment is a joke and supposedly open til 10pm' HA! Staff locks it up whenever they feel like it. ...this place is not worth it. The only GOOD thing is everybody is extremely friendly, except the A-HOLE beneath me. Save yourself the trouble and keep looking

The one who posted on 3/07/08 is full of crap this place sucks so much here is why:
If I were you I would run and dont look back, they have trolls working in the front office and pimps and druggys living next to you. Do not belive them when they say you can't hear your neighboors cause that is a bloody lie.
All you hear is doors slamming, walls shaking etc. The bugs are the worse of all be prepared for cockroaches bigger then your big toe and I live on a second floor apartment. The sprinklers keep it damp so there are bugs everywhere.
Also when you move in they will tell you dont have to pay water but then you get the "Surprise Bill" in the mail and that is illegal too because they are submetering which is aganist the law.
You can park your car but be prepared for damages to your car and lack of parking. They let sex offenders live here and you will not believe the old man with the ugly dog that walks around smacking his teeth who is a drunk and spreads gossip. This is so sick! DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT MOVE TO AVALON AT SOUTH COAST and they also up the rent every year. Its a mess!
For all we know this is the freakin Troll that works in the front office, you are SCAMMERS

The one who posted on 03/07/2008...I agree with "gogogetter", You're so full of crap...You're telling me that you've never seen the gianormous roaches chilling on the walk way? or the termites that come out of hiding inside your apartment during the summer? and you're going on your 2nd year? HA! you must be blind...Rent is decent but could be less..management sucks, maintenance is great, and the complex is nice but not great...

I moved in Avalon 3 months ago. I do see bugs outside at night, but I don't have them in my apartment....maybe because I'm clean and don't leave dirty dishes in the sink and trash in my doorway like some people do! I actually don't have a problem with management either, they are nice to me and so far have given me all the correct information. It says on all the paperwork I got that residents pay ALL UTILITIES. I guess you can't please all the people all the time, but I for one am happy with my decision to move here.
