We lived at this complex for a year and are so glad to have gotten out. The place looks lovely from the outside, but then comes the ants, and the flooding... Yes, expect ant infestations in the summer (the rental office will tell you to invest in your own pesticide rather than send maintenance to your apartment) and flooding every time it rains for more than a day - if you are unfortunate enough to have a patio, the draining is inadequate. Then maintenance will rip up your carpet and not return to restore it for weeks and several repeated calls and visits to the rental office. That's if they come at all - in which case you will have a lovely case of mold and mildew on your hands!

Maintenance is under-prepared and under-skilled to deal with the complaints of tenants, and they have come into our apartment without permission and tampered with our things - we have seen THREE unidentified men exiting our apartment for a simple toilet repair call. Who needs three men to unstop a toilet''

Security is a joke. The underground parking gates are propped open half the time, and cars are frequently broken into (get used to seeing the Costa Mesa police investigating break-ins and thefts). My own car has been vandalized twice and the police COMPLAINED to me that it's because of the gate problem and the fact that the Camden Martinique refuses to install security cameras in their underground parking lots.

The walls are paper-thin and there are several college party kids on site. If you want to hear all of your neighbors' "personal" business and their patio conversations, you'll enjoy yourself! The 2AM fights (complete with calls to the police) are especially entertaining! We had to place repeated noise complaints about our upstairs neighbors who were prone to stomping around and moving furniture at one in the morning (we even wrote a formal complaint letter) before the tenants finally moved out. They were not evicted, they moved out on their own, after MONTHS of complaints. Nice.

Are things really so bad that it's worth the obscene rental rates for this kind of aggravation' Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
