This place SUCKS! DO NOT under ANY circumstances live here, by any means!!
THERE ARE NO PERKS! If you decide to live here, you will learn that this place is a prison where all the people who signed the lease are suffering and waiting for the day their lease ends.
NOT ONLY is this place EXTREMELY dangerous:
- I've witness a police officer hold a gun to a person on a balcony on my way home from school
- My friend got his windows smashed and tires slashed JUST DOWN the street
- Police officers frequently visit this apartment complex REGULARLY. Don't believe me, ask anyone that lives here!
- Hearing about a drug bust is a regular occurrence!!
- I've also witnessed a group of people fighting just across from me, one was threatening to throw someone over the balcony! Just another lovely night at the Camden's
LOUD:
- 90% of the time you will hear drunken neighbors stumble and yell and start fights across from your bedroom. And since the walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING they say.
- Early in the morning EVERY MORNING without fail, you will hear a loud ear-piercing, unidentifiable noise (if you decide to live here, you'll know, me and my roommate cringe and scream every time we hear it)
- Couples would fight at 1 am in the morning yelling back and forth in the halls. There was one couple who actually ended up screaming back and forth for an hour sobbing " -----! You -----!"
- Windows are broken CONSTANTLY!
HAVE UNRESPONSIVE STAFF:
- My roommates were locked in their apartment! For THREE HOURS no one came! And NO ONE answered their calls, either.
- Wanna call the management to ask for them to repair something' Do you want to wait 3 or 4 hours, maybe even a day' Well then the Camdens is for you!
- The Washing Machine broke and was not fixed for a month!
- The front gate to enter the garage was broken and multiple people had to park on the street because management FAILED to fix it in time!
HORRIBLY MAINTAINED (All I'm gonna say is that you can't polish a turd):
- light fixtures hanging from the ceilings
- Multiple holes in the walls
- PAPER-THIN walls!
- Elevator is on the verge of breaking down, and the permit is no longer available to see!
DISGUSTING:
- People pee in the elevator!
- Look at the garage elevator waiting room!
- Lack of trashcans throughout facility meaning that people throw trash on the FLOOR!
The managements lack of care or concern for this apartment complex is EXTREMELY apparent. It may have a fancy name and look decent from the outside, but DO NOT be fooled!! Ask ANYONE who lives here and they will tell you the same!

WOW!!! What an imagination you have! There are over 700 apartments at this complex, you live acorss the street from OCC, noise and vandalism is bound to happen. Any time I have reported something to the management it has been repaired within 24 hours if not sooner. Whenever I have a question or concern the manager has always been available to answer and address them. It is an older complex over 20 years old so things naturally will break down from time to time, but again everything is fixed within a reasonable amount of time. Each building does have two elevators so if one is "down", which is normally from a resident vandalizing it, there is another one...you just have to walk your lazy ass over to it, or use the stairs! I have lived here for over a year, and yes from time to time it get's noisy, but I know management takes care of these matters, and has kicked out several of my neigbor's for being unruly. If you want crime stats call the CMPD they will give you info on the property...we the resident's also need to better "protect" our own property...if you leave things in your car, it will get stolen...even the CMPD distributed a notice to the complex about NOT leaving personal itmes in your car, especially GPS systems! Also if you leave your purse, your wallet, your lap top in your car, you are inviting the criminal back time and time again! You are actaully the cause to the crime...don't leave anything for them to steal and they will stop coming...quite honestly it is the drunk college student that is doing it!
