Wow, folks in Orange County are whiners. Up in Berkeley this would have been a great place and an un-heard-of price. We are paying $900 for a 1bd with windows along two sides (dinning room, living room and bedroom), a walk-in closet, tile instead of linoleum, a nice little bar and sufficient kitchen, at a good location 5 or 10 minutes from Balboa beach. The grounds are pretty and the courtyard is surprisingly quiet for having so many immigrant and working families. The fountains are some of the nicest I've seen; even luxury places usually have audible motor noise and I don't hear it here. Parking is tight, but at least it exists. The management isn't high-class (the lady we spoke with was more used to immigrants more than citizens) but seems accomodating and friendly enough. We are just moving in, but I will tell you how it turns out in the long run.

Bet you don't live at Casa del ghetto anymore since you first wrote this, huh?? Come on -- you know it sucks now right?
