I moved to Harbor Green about 5 months ago. The management bragged about the mini gym, the two pools and the great location. The vandalism alone has kept both pools continually closed and the gym was vandalized as well, which made it impossible to use. The management ignored this for the past five months without explaination to any of the residents. The vandalism is self explanitory for my complaint about the location.
The final "straw that broke the camel's back" was when the sewer pipes backed up... I mean the MAIN sewer pipe. We had raw sewage (that wasn't ours) flowing like a fountain out of our shower drain, and both toilets. I had been out of town and could not believe the stench when I opened the door. They came and tore the carpet pad out and "cleaned" the carpet, but the smell continued. The plumber that came told us that the main sewer pipe was clogged and that this would continue until they tore it up and replaced it.
I notified the office of my intention to move and considered this disaster to be enough to break the lease, I mean, could they truly expect someone to live in such unsanitary conditions' One of the women who worked in the office assured me that she had called the insurance company and that they would take care of our lease and our property damages. Come to find out, two days later that they had never called, and she blatantly lied to buy time while she spoke to her superiors.
They have got to tear all the carpet out of here, that is just disgusting, there were "particles" in the sewer water. But, they informed me that they were going to go after me like a pit bull after a steak, and not only would they not be responsible for my losses, but they expected me to pay for breaking the lease and offered no appologies for the sewer water destroying a $300.00 down comforter and a swedish matress. Not to mention several rugs that I had. They are very hostile people and very very RUDE not to mention unprofessional. I am embarassed and angry that I chose to live in such a dump.
