My husband and I recently moved in because Harbor Green is one of the few apartments that allow dogs. We moved into a newly refurbished one bedroom and it is a thing of beauty. It's a bit smaller than the apartment we moved from, (our old apt was 800 sq ft, our new one is 600) but the way they have installed storage maximizes the space that we do have. Also it has vaulted ceilings which makes the whole apartment seem larger. The kitchen is brand new, appliances, countertops, cupboards and everything!! The carpet was also brand new, as well as the vinyl. Air conditioner working great (and its been REALLY hot). I also like that the walls aren't all boring white. You can have an accent wall done if you like, we didn't but the main walls are a nice light mocha and the kitchen, bathroom and ceilings are white. Very lovely.
As far as safety goes, I feel completely comfortable walking my dog around the complex late at night, and I often see young women walking their dogs even later! Our neighbors are great, and everything is quiet. The only thing we hear is dogs barking from time to time, but it's a dog friendly complex and dogs bark so there's nothing you can do about that. Walking the grounds you would be surprised at how well kept the landscaping is! They have "doggy waste" bag stations in convenient locations throughout the complex and it seems like the complex is full of responsible pet owners! All in all I consider our new apartment a very charming and posh place to live!!
