It's Okay.....

My roommate and I signed a lease for 7 months and we liked it a little bit. We have a 2 bed 2 bath upstairs unit that is huge for just two people. I do have a couple of warnings though. Don't run the air because it's an old unit. We ran it the first two months and our bill was $180.00 and $140.00! We aren't home all the time either. We don't touch it now and it's $39.00 a month. Also, be pre-pared to spend about $75.00 a month for the water and gas bill. They take the complex total and divide it per unit. Doesn't matter how much you conserve. Our bedrooms weren't cable ready and it would have cost us too much to have the cable company fix that. So we have gone with out. The management team is real nice as well as the maintenance guys. No complaints there. After we run the washer and dyer are place smells like sewage for a couple hours then goes away. Parking sucks after 8. Many times I've had to hike it across the complex late at night. The noise level isn't that bad. My roommate works graveyards and has to sleep during the day. There's been no problem with that. The first month that we moved in a couple of our neighbors had their places broke into so that was scary. If you live pay check to pay check these apartments are not for you. If you make pretty good money then I say move in.
