Moved in to a nice, one bedroom apartment for $1125 and two years later, I'm paying $1340!! The office staff is very unfriendly and yes, the parking sucks.
You get two parking passes for guests and if they forget to put a pass on their car and park inside the complex, they get towed and have to pay over $200 to get it out. THE PARKING SITUATION SEEMS LIKE A SCAM. THEY HAVE THESE DISCRETE SIGNS IN FRONT OF EACH ENTRANCE SAYING NO PUBLIC PARKING BUT YOU GO INSIDE THE COMPLEX TO PARK AND ALL THE SPOTS ARE UNMARKED AND APPEAR TO BE OPEN, LEGAL PARKING. But no, they hire "Security" to walk around, find cars without passes and have them towed. The complex says they have no ties with this towing company but I don't believe that. SCAM FOR SURE. SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
Overall, this plays stinks. Yes, they have monthly parties like pool parties and bingo nights but ---- all that. Take that money you spend on these parties and lower our renr a little. This place is not new and they charge you as if your living in a place in Irvine.
I'll leave you with my CON list: Ants, old appliences, PARKING SUCKS, POWER AND WATER GET CUT OUT OFTEN FOR HOURS AT A TIME, rent goes up drasticly every year, GYM equipment is older than me, and did I mention they suck.
Thats it. I'm out.

This review is completely inaccurate. First, the increase in rent is to be expected and to be honest, that is not much of an increase over a two year period. I moved from a nearby apartment complex where, in UNDER a year, my rent had risen more than $100. Pinecreek, on the other hand, guarantees that the rent you start off paying will not rise for a year and after that point the rise will be minimal. The parking situation described above is accurate, however the negative light that it has been painted is not. On the contrary this is a very positive situation. How is the security supposed to know which cars are your friends and which are just the people who live nearby who think it is a good idea to take up your spots? The fact that they actually look for parking permits is a relief! Besides, if you are pulling into a gated community, only an idiot would think the parking spots therein are legal without a permit - give me a break! |

I just have a quick point to make on the parking: I work for the security company, who independently contracts with the towing company, so that decision is not up to Pinecreek, and why would any parking that is gated off appear as public? It is not difficult to stick a little piece of paper in your window when you park your car. It is a courtesy thing, and, as stated above, how else is the security officer supposed to determine who is illegally parking and using up your precious parking spots?

This review is not for our Apartment Complex, we don??t ever give parking passes, we don??t ever have parties or play bingo. Many of these angry posts are not for us and you must confuse us with other apartments in Costa Mesa (there are several in Costa Mesa and Orange County that have a similar name). We are working to remove these incorrect postings. Until then, please disregard this one.

Ive lived in these apt's for about 2 years now. Pinecreek apt, on 2300 Fairview Rd. I kind of agree with what he is saying on a couple of points... but for the most part, I think its a little exagerated.
First. I do agree with the parking. The spots are made for a very small compact car, and their arent many of them. So if you get off work after about 6PM, (and have a roomate who also has thier own car) forget about it. Only one parking spot is guaranteed, the rest you'll have to fight it out with your neighbors.
Second: The security deal is correct, but they dont just up and tow you on the first offence. Instead you get a warning posted in your window, in which they probably take down your information, just incase you decide to ignore the warning, then its time to tow. (understandable)
As Far as the Apartments go, I havent seen them all to make the assumption that they all are dirty or clean, Ive seen about 4 or 5 of them, and I can say that they all were in pretty good condition. Yes they were built in the 60's, but I think thats a plus. Older apts are much bigger. The newer places charge you and arm and a leg for a tiny apt.
Office staff: Is pretty friendly, maybe its because im SUCH a good looking guy and all J/k... but I havent had any problem with them as of yet. Usually anytime I have a problem with anything in my apt, I.e. dishwasher not functioning correctly, knob broke on the shower, they are pretty quick with the response and will have it fixed the next day.
Ive never seen them throw a pool party or have bingo though... If this post is not inteded for the pinecreep apts im talking about.. then that just goes to show you that pretty much all of the apt in the area are pretty much the same. This is Costa Mesa people...not Mobil, Alabama.
