MANAGEMENT WILL BE SUED EVENTUALLY

I lived in Villa Venetia for six months. I could not believe what I paid for the crappiest 1 bedroom apartment I had ever lived in. Upon move in, mirrored closet doors did not open all the way, blinds were falling apart, the plastic of the microwave had fallen off, there was tar on my carpet, and my outside deck didn't look safe to sit on. This is not to mention that the apartment looked like it had not been updated since the 80s.
The real issue at hand however is that management sent my move out charges to a collection agency (which now appear on my credit report) without properly notifying me. THIS IS NOT LEGAL. This was after I had written a dispute letter for charges that totaled close to $300 in which I did not receive all receipts for and in which I felt were unjust. I followed the procedure given to me by the General Manger of Villa Venetia for how to dispute move out charges. I followed up three times over the course of three months. Nobody returned my calls and management did not cash my check that I sent for the money which I felt was due. A year later, I find out that these charges appear on my credit report. I am still in the process of disputing with management at Villa Venetia. If I can't get the charges off my credit report myself, I will be taking legal action.
