Don't Move Here

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
I've lived here since May 2005, here's a low-down on my experience:
1. Poor management. I was told that there would be this upgrade and that upgrade upon my property tour; nope, they lied... I moved in and my apartment wasn't fully ready until 3 weeks after i had already moved in.
2. Parking is HORRIBLE. 22 visitor parking spaces for approximately 450 units (many of which are 2 bedrooms), you do the math. So, if you have occasional visitors and let them have your spot for the night, get ready to be towed.
3. Shoddy maintenance. Laundry machines are hit or miss, sometimes taking money from debit cards without working... even my oven is broken, everything i bake burns on top and remains raw inside; they say they fixed it, but nope, nada. And the canals get putrid...
4. Bug problems...get ready to live with gigantic spiders, they nest everywhere...but i guess that's expected with the trees/foliage around. Just be warned about them that they are inhabitants, too.
5. Safety is okay because we're in orange county for goodness sakes, but don't let the gates fool you. anyone can follow residents through the gate. there are ALWAYS pick-up truck gangs who rummage through the trash bins for goods and furniture; so don't think strangers can't just walk into the complex. Also, management is cheap on lighting, many areas are totally unlit, even though there are lampposts.
