I lived in the Villa Venetia for three years. The first year was not bad at all. Super nice neighbors who became good friends. Then the place changed ownership. Where do I start'.... Well, any service request began to go unanswered. I had no cold water (yea, cold water) for nearly six months! Everytime I put in a service request they would just ignore it. When I would put in another for the cold water issue, they would act surprised like it was only my apartment. Come to find out, everyone in my building had been complaining as well!

The worst part about this place is the towing Nazis. Parking is non-existant. If you have a friend over, be prepared to shuttle them from three blocks away and hope the shopping center they have to park in doesn't tow them. You can get a visitor pass from the office only between 8am-5PM (what if you are like me and work during those hours').If you come home after 8pm, be prepared to drive around looking for a parking space for 30 minutes (there has been many times I couldn't find parking at all). Then squeeze your car into a spot that is made for only mini-coopers. Don't even think about parking anywhere just to unload groceries or something. My girlfriend parked in front of our gate to carry groceries into the apartment. She came out and within 2-3minutes they towed her car away!

Here's the biggest problem I had....My truck was towed from a legal parking spot! I called to ask the tow company where my truck was..."we towed it sir"....me-"why"...them-"it didn't have a permit"...me-"That can't be right, my truck has had a permit for three years"...them-"well, that's what the guard said"...me-"please take a look and see if it has a permit in the windshield"...them-"hmmm...it does have a permit. I guess it must have been dark so they couldn't see it"....-me-"so what now'"....them-"If you pick your truck up in an hour we will not charge you the $225 tow fee"....me-"You have me vehicle, so there is no way I can get there that fast"...them-"sorry sir, then we'll have to charge you". So yes, they towed my truck when it was legally parked in my own parking spot, and then charged me $225! The apartment director said "Mistakes happen, there's nothing I can do to reimburse you".

I still haven't talked about the rat infestation, or the lost/voided rent checks management did as a "mistake" and then tried to screw up my credit and charge ridicoulous late fees for their "mistakes". Or even after all the issues management caused me, they still try to raise my rent $200/month! Yes, $200 with a new lease.

So if you haven't gotten the picture yet, this place is NOT worth a dime! I beg you to consider this place carefully. I lived in many apartment communities and am really not picky at all. There are even more horror stories I didn't tell you about (it would a book if I did). Let's leave it on this note....I have never taken anyone to court, but Villa Venetia will be my first.

Dude - you better get your $225 back. That money was wrongfully taken from you. I'd go to small claims court over this issue.
