Having lived in The Meadows for two years, I can say that I also lived through the hell of the renovation process. The problem is that the lease contract does permit the management to enter your home to perform the upgrades, but unfortunately the management was inconsiderate of their tenant's living spaces. You would be given short notice to clear out all your counters, or remove everything from your closet. If you were gone on a business trip for a week, you would come home to find your clothes scattered all over your bed and dust all over the floor.
The management office was quite unsympathetic, which I think contributed to the pain. I am a big believer in treating people with respect, but this is one time when I almost lost my cool. They would only echo their legalisms at any request you made, and never really took the time to help. Even when I had problems with a leak, I was treated with great disrespect.
Overall, the place isn't bad... I liked the trees and streams (whenever they were turned on), but due to the management situation and the constant price hikes, I don't think I would ever return.
