Years at this apartment: 2000-01-01 - 2003-01-01
I have been there for about three years.
The Good:
Excellent landscaping - Probably the best for the price in the area
Well maintained apartments - New appliances.
Maintenance is very prompt.
Even though the apartments are quite old (built in the 1970's) they look quite good considering the dumps you get in the LA area.
Quiet - Not a lot of noise if you are in one of the apartments away from Green Valley Circle - Even though 405 is close by, there is not much noise from it
Location - Quite convenient for everything (LAX, Santa Monica, Westwood etc).
Also it is very close to a nice park and the sorroundings are very green.
The Bad
1) Security Problems - There have been a few break ins even though of late there have not been much.
They have installed security cameras all over and perhaps that has helped.
2) Rent Increases - Rents can move up quite a lot.
I once had the rent jacked up $150.
Of late, it has been more moderate ($10-20)
The Ugly
1) Parking - If you have a lot of visitors, you will probably be better off running a shuttle service from the nearby sav-on :).
Be prepared for long walks if you have two cars and do not wish to pay for the second spot.
