PROS: For the westside, it's very reasonable in price. Yes, parking can get a bit congested, but once you figure out a system, it works out great. When we first moved in, we did have ant problems, but that quickly diminished after the exterminator did his thing. The building we lived in was very quiet 99% of the time. We were on the top floor, which I highly recommend. The rent does increase each year, but it wasn't too drastic. The grounds are quite nice and Amanda at the residence office is very accomodating and friendly. In addition, we got about 80% of our deposit back due to our ---- & span cleaning. Not a bad deal.
CONS: Street parking for guests is a hit or miss. The majority of the time, they will have to hike to your apartment. The facilities people are great, but having to cater to 700 units, they can sometimes be a little behind. The leasing office consist of a few helpless idiots (no names, but one is the lady with the accent). There used to be a nice gal there, but she left. When the laundry room isn't "under construction", it's great. Also, don't attempt to have your delivery guy or guest try to locate you...it's a large complex and they will get lost (even with the map) best if you go and get them.
Overall, I would say GO FOR IT. If you can look beyond the minor negatives, it's truly a great place to live if you want to be in the westside without having to pay westside prices.

Go for it? Are you nuts? Minor negatives? I would say major negatives, and I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone I cared about, even casually. It's a disaster.
