The inability to retain good tenant in a effort increase profits. The Meadows always seems to make a effort to increase rents and don't seem to make an effort to retain good tenants. The Meadows don't seem to have a problems with renting to four or more young adults an having long time tenants having to deal with the additional noises, loud talking, late night partying that the engage in. If an effort to keep the property clean, tenants have to put with the loud noise from blower, loud carpet cleaning equipment, carpet installation workers, moving people and people talking loudy on walkie talkies, or yelling to get attention of other workers, Talking loudy on cell phones. The Meadows also goes to a great effort to control what on your patio, what can be seen through you windows, what phone companies you can get service from, who can be your DSL or cable provider, who you get television service from (Direct tv or no service at all. If I can get the people in charge to understand that your profits is going to decrease if you unable to retain good and respectful tenats, respect their privacy in what have on their patio or what can be seen through their, windows, provide them with freedom of choice from service providers (cable,tv, phone, dsl), Quiet enjoyment(noises from workers or other tenants). They should also be willing to rent reduction in the same way they do their rent increases.

I feel exactly the same way. The staff in the leasing offcie treats us as if we were living there for free. They offer lower rentals to new tenants but are not willing to offer lower rates for existing tenants. They donot accept packages, there is no freedom in choice of service providers and the staff is very very rude.

iam sorry u feel that way - i lived at meadows in the 90'
s and moved back last year=i got them to lower my rent by haggling - if u keep on top of things u would be surprised what u can accomplish-now they want to install gas meters and charge for that but i asked the leasing ofc that is not a good idea for tenants who live here now because we already pay water, trash and sewage and rent insurance that adds more $$$ to our living expenses-plus the rent rises andlowers like the stock market - but if u stay on top of them - pay your rent on time - u can get more that if u are a problem tenant-sorry but thats the truth

I finished my contract today. They raise $250 to go month-by-month and when I asked to sign a six month lease, they made it $150 more expensive than the ad that are posted on Craigslist for a unit in the same floor and building. A big shame. I went to the office to try to negotiate my rent, and after 45 minutes of waiting, I heard as the first sentence: "We do not negotiate our prices." Then I just handed my 30 day notice letter. I've been stoled, so, I am getting out of here.
