We all miss the Avalon folks. They took good care of us and appreciated any constructive criticism.
Archstone people, on the other hand, truly believe in the adage "ignorance is bliss". Of course, if I ran my company like that, we would certainly be out of business in no time. I have attempted to contact the complex manager by phone and email for over two months and he still has not replied to any of my queries. My new lease renewal just jumped up over 10% and I was interested in some sort of negotiation. He probably saw my name and ran the other way. At least the Avalon people were amenable if there were financial issues.
We've lived there eight years (since the complex was built), and have enjoyed the diverse assortment of management there; even the Centremark folks before Avalon bought it.
I DO sincerely hope that this will be my last year here.
