Yes, the gates are almost always broken. I would consider this the complex's biggest fault.

Yes, maintenance will come into your apartment, because when you requested for them to come fix something, you told them it's ok to come in.

Yes, cars were towed when they repaved the parking lot. They gave plenty of notice. Did you expect them to just pave around your pretty car'

Yes, you can hear your neigbors, but only if they are stomping around, or your apartment is 100% quiet. If you want peace and quiet, move into a house. This is what you deal with when you rent an apartment.

Yes, you will get mold in your apartment if you don't vent your apartment properly like it was explained in the packet you were given when you moved in. Don't blame the complex because you didn't want to use the exhaust fans, open windows or turn on lights.

Yes, someone will break into your car if you don't lock it properly, or leave expensive things laying around on the seats and dash.

I personally haven't seen high turnover in the staff, at least two leasing agents I know of are still here, and three maintenance guys are also still here.

I think the biggest problem we have had personally is with maintenance. If your maintenance request isn't submitted by early in the morning before they arrive, expect to wait until tomorrow to have someone come and check on it. Sometimes they call before coming over, sometimes they don't. They always knock and ring the bell a few times before entering.

To be honest, the *only* thing that will probably make us leave when our lease is up in November, will be rent price. According to the web site, the current lease price for a 2bd/2ba is $2525. A difference of $740. We simply can't afford it. Hopefully we will be charged less than the going rate. If not, it's bye bye Archstone.

Sheesh, yes it is. Parking sucks. Noise sucks (dogs barking unnecessarily and nothing's done about it). Office staff sucks. And they will gouge you when you leave...just you watch. Don't even try to get your security deposit back and if you haven't cleaned and patched up your apartment as if you were restoring the Mona Lisa, they'll try to get more money out of you. Archstone is terrible!!!!
