Poor security--stolen Ducati motorcycle, stolen packages

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. Do not live here.
They make a great first impression, but things go downhill once you move in.
My bf had parts stolen off his red Ducati beauty in the underground "gated" parking garage in November 2007. Packages worth $$ were stolen from the front door in the afternoon, too. Even a package the leasing office was holding for me was gone--or "misplaced" as they put it. (Sticky fingers, employees') Most maddeningly, and not surprisingly, Archstone didn't do anything about it, ever.
All the kitchen appliances were cr@ppy--the dishwasher had no cleaning power, the toilet had no flushing power, the washer/dryer and oven and microwave were the cheapest they could get away with. Getting maintenance over to fix them was a constant hassle. They boast that they'll respond within 24 hours of your request, guaranteed, but that's respond only, not fix.
Oh yes. And they hiked the rent for the 1 bedroom by $400 when the lease was up in January 2008.
I hate Archstone.
