When we first moved in, we were very pissed off because our apartment had been broken into 3 days later. Luckily we were not living inside yet, so nothing valuble had been inside. Only small things had been taken, valued up to about $100. First we thought the maintenance people, but then reazlied it was not them. We still do not know who it is, but it seems very safe now. We have been here since July, and everything seems very nice. Though the Forge apartment complex has a very nice environment, with many flowers, plants, and trees, there are some pet peeves to be aware of. First, where I live, is a few apartments down from a park-like scenery area, so everyday at around 3:00pm-6:00pm, many kids come out and play. If you are trying to catch up on some work, it may be hard to concentrate because they are so loud. Also, the toilets, faucets, and appliances are becoming old. THe washer and dryer are very unefficient, and very noisy-- so noisy you can hear the washers and dryers from other apartments around you. Also, it is a long walk from each apartment to the parking lots, making it a big hassle to carry groceries, or other things. Also, the exterior of the apartments are getting dirty, as well as the walkways, making it less appealing to the eye. When we first moved in, the pool was very clean. From August to the end of September, the pool pumps were turned off, so the water did not get filtered, leaving many disgusting things floating around. And during sunset, a layer of oil (from sweat, I guess) would be visible. *yuck*. The spa is currently still dirty, with the floors being brownish and the walls of the spa having many different colored stains. The apartments are overall good, but the little things mentioned above could be imporved to make living here easier, especially for a "clean-freak" like me.
