I've lived here about 9 months.

Good: it's clean, nice to walk around in, the gym is nice(it is air conditioned contrary to other review). It's close to stores and other amenities. Our apartment has stayed really cool in the summer, the place we moved from did not so that's nice.

Bad: our apartment was freezing in the winter, we needed the heat on all the time, we were very concerned it would be hot so we're glad it's not. the parking is a joke, they tell you there's plenty but there isn't, people have to "protect" the visitor spots by switching cars so you always have one in a visitor space. There are some EXTREMELY aggressive and rude mini van drivers here who treat the parking lot like a raceway trying to get spaces.

They told us the lawn area is ok to walk on but nobody ever does, completely untrue when we get home just before 6, until about 9, it's a big daycare outside. There are 25 kids on the lawn yelling and screaming, especially in the summertime. We have to keep our screen door closed or we can't hear in our own apartment. The pool is packed with kids when actually heated. People put up signs reserving the BBQ and picnic area , they're not allowed to, but if you ignore the signs be prepared for an argument.

The police are here regularly due to people that live nearby in Sunnyvale and hope the fence to commit petty theft. 2 months ago someone stole a car and slammed into 2 garages trying to escape with it, to this day the garages are still broken, doors off taped over, not repaired. We had a beginning driver hit the security gate, it was open for nearly 2 weeks before fixed. THe management is not in the office during posted hours, supposed to be open until 6 but always closed before then. Saturday as I write this it's nearly 10am and they're not open yet, supposed to be at 9. Makes it hard to retrieve a package left for you when they're never open.

That said there are 2 women in the management office who are extremely nice, and the maintenance guy is good. The third woman in the office is not nice at all, avoid her.

The main problem is they don't enforce rules evenly, we got a note about dead flowers visible on our balcony(they're not visible without looking up over the balcony), yet they allow people to BBQ on their balcony(against the rules), one woman constantly has her young boy in the gym playing on the machines(against the rules) and there's a woman who is giving private swimming lessons to kids here in the complex pool, one doubts whether she has insurance or whether it's legal to do but she seems to have 3-4 kids a day. Try swimming laps in the pool when she's in there and get a dirty look.

We plan on moving when our lease is up, too expensive but it's a nice location and I like having the laundry in the apartment. Things are cheap the doorknob in our bathroom closet keeps pulling right off, our microwave has broken as has our dishwasher twice in less than a year.
