i cannot recommend this apartment complex.

there were some positives: wide and ample parking, beautiful landscaping, close to DeAnza College, and multiple swimming pools.

however the negatives outweighed the positives:
*rude staff members (one yelled at two kids for making chalk drawings on the sidewalk. he should have just asked the kids to stop. another woman was really impatient and rude to foreign tenants. i saw her on two separate occasions treat a japanese couple and a european couple with rudeness and disdain, because they could not follow her rapid-fire english. this same lady was also unaccomodating to my requests...treated me like i was a burden to her.
*after increasing rent on loyal tenants (i paid $1715/month for a studio!), they refused to lower month-to-month rates (though i've heard that management is now considering requests for lower rates).
*the laundry facilities are not too good -- also limited hours (not accomodating to those late-working tenants).
*the infrastructure and carpeting are old -- my stovetop burners broke down multiple times.
*thin walls -- you can hear your neighbors.
