Cheap - but worth the frustration'

I lived at Glenbrook for only 6 months and couldn?t wait to get out of there. The grounds are kept up very nicely, but the apartments need major renovation. The old contstruction lets every sound from your neighbors or outdoors through. While living there we had the plumbing back-up and maintanence had to "snake" from our apt to the sewer which was located at the street. The hot water did not work for a 11/2 days because the maintanence workers connected the new heaters incorrectly for half of the community. Our microwave blew sparks one evening while cooking and had to be replaced. A friend of mine who also lives there had her carpets soaked with water from the upstairs neighbor due to a leek in the plumbing. Forget the laundry facilities, I took my clothes to a local wash-and-fold.
I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! This community needs a major overhaul. Granted rents are one of the cheapest in Cupertino, but I?d rather pay more than live here again! To top it off they don?t allow pets, even though their apts are old and run down!
