Glenbrook looks beautiful on the outside but the actual apartments are very old. The walls are paper-thin so expect to hear everything your neighbors are doing at any given time. Luckily, the people seem to be pretty quiet.
We will be moving out soon. In a time when rents are dropping due to the sluggish economy, Glenbrook instead chose to raise our rent to over $2000 for a 1 bedroom apt. Not acceptable considering the number of $1200 apartments in the valley right now. $2000 a month is a lot for any place without A/C.
Seems like they couldn't do much to improve the apartments so they sunk a lot of money into amenities, which can be good if you like that sort of thing. Also, in a year we never had ants although with all the landscaping yellowjackets seem to be a problem. You may also have the strange problem of duck poo since many ducks go back and forth from Memorial Park to the Glenbrook lake.
AT&T @Home is available, which was a plus.
Service seems to be responsive but there are a lot or problems with the hot water and other upkeep of the apts. There are too many problems considering the cost of the apartments. Granted, Cupertino's not cheap to live in, but you can do much better in other parts of the valley for much less.
If it were cheaper, we probably would've stayed because we like the property, but at the high price I can't recommend it.
