crappy living experience. Nice landscaping, but it's all a front. High rent. Rip off unhelpful management...avoid like the plague

Definitely the crappiest renting experience ever.... I think the only reason people live here is because the landscaping looks nice...but then again, you're paying for it anyway in the high $1800 rent for a 1 br POS unit.

The management isn't helpful and tries to stick with the "procedures" more than helping anyone. Even the resident managers claim they "can't do anything to help as they only have the listed options for every scenario". Basically, they're using the "i am but a pawn" excuse.

The management always immediately defends whatever their employees do and say no matter how wrong they are. They never once admit that there is even the SLIGHTEST chance that the customer can be right. What ever happened to "the customer is always right"' Glenbrook employees/management don't even try to fake this old saying.

Security deposit' Nope...it's basically a $400 markup they charge in the beginning to feed their alcohol addictions. They ROUTINELY charge for their own wear and tear upgrades (carpet and wall painting) even when it doesn't need it but they do anyway (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW BY THE WAY...). 90% of the people on this board of the last few years have complaint about them ripping you off for all your deposit money...this should be a good indicator of what WILL happen to you. After you clean the place, they'll make up stuff that's not in NEW condition and say you fail (dust on the counter...u fail...no more deposit for you!). There have also been cases of the management actually keeping the deposit AND charging the ex-tenant for random upgrades they want to do (ALSO ILLEGAL).

Parking is a pain in the ass. You get one parking spot and the rest are free-for-alls for all the stupid punk kids in their noisy ugly hondas and nissan 240s with big wings and body kits. Most of these kids don't live on the property...they park here during peak hours at deanza college (which makes traffic here HORRIBLE). The visitors of the annoying college children stay over and take up all the free-for-all parking...then they do burnouts and other loud annoying things at 3-4am every week as they leave the complex.

My cars constantly get dinged and scratched by rude people not giving a damn for people's property.

The security is pretty much useless as they let everything slide. Their main guard is a 82 year old man.

Other annoyances: Bug infestation galore (silverfish, spiders and ants). Random entries into your apartment while you shower and sleep (yes they like to see you nekkid). The head of their facilities is on a power trip and thinks everything isn't clean enough during your inspection. He'll claim stuff that is dirty and old even though you JUST BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW! All the management acts nice at first, but really are unfair and evil.

One last thing to mention and it's been mentioned here many times...There is no loyalty prices. If you happen to live here one year and can't afford to move out of this hell hole the next year, you will be SCREWED. They will hike your rent up near double just to get more money from you. They don't care if you stay or go. They just want more money. They treat their current residents like crap!
