Glenbrook sucks !!!
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 8/24/2005
Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2005
When you go there you should expect:
Nice location, nice gardens ... and it's all about the good part
Price - very high
Then management - COLD like stones
Ask yearly cleaning of the carpet -forget it
Interior -very old, just painted so you will not notice in the beginning
When you go to swim -you always have troubles if you bring toys for the kids or if you invite 2 guests instead of one. or if you even didn't do this there will be at any time the security guy to bother you and ask you all the questions.
In the night -it's fun. Many college students moved in, so the party is never over. ..sometimes starting at 2 AM. Or if not party then gunshots or someone screaming for help. Don't even think that the security guy is there for you, he is sleeping tight. So better call the police yourself if you think it's needed.
Parking -ha-ha, what is that'' De Anza College students are with higher priority, but who cares. Even if someone parks on your assigned space and if you go to complain in the office you'll get cold face explaining: "You have to right down the information of this car and if it happens second time we'll call the tow truck!!". .Ha, what about if
the next time is a different car'
If you decided to go vacuum your car - 99,9 % of the time the vacuum cleaner will
not start because it's full with coins, so your 50 cents are gone. Then, because you think you have rights(Yeah, right!) you go to the office and ask for a help, a cold face will tell you that no one is available right now, and there are more important things to be fixed in the moment.
If the market goes down, and you figure out that the new tenants pay 300$ less than you , you of course feel like you want to lower your rent, at least a little, like 50$. Well , if you try to negotiate the price, they dont care. They will not move down with A PENNY. But they have solution for you (Very "smart" one)-Move out to some place for 3 month, then come back, and you'll get the new tenant price. Wow! How "generous"!!!
So you decide you are tired, after 1, 2, ..5..or more years living there you do not enjoy the gardens, you don't care that the park is so close, you just want to find place that you will be treated better . Then don't even think about getting back your deposit. Be ready they will ask for more, because, they will find "damages" everywhere. Don"t worry they will find them!
So you decide to search for your rights You go read the law, talk to advisers, write letters, and at the end you find out that there is always an "open door" for them and you suppose to do something that you missed .Like - you suppose to ask inspection when move-out, but not the final one after you cleaned, not the earlier one they made , another one, witch you suppose to ask for- ''''
So I was going to go to small claims court, when I decided to stop here and instead of "fighting the Wind Mills" to share with thousands of people Glenbrook is defiantly NOT the place you can love and call a home .
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN THERE!
