Hard to find too many bad things to say about the place

The Hamptons has been a great place to live. Honestly, people who say this place is horrible should really give their heads a shake and probably haven't lived in other apartments before. Location was the main reason why I decided to live here - very close to where I work. Here is a breakdown of why I think highly of it.

PROS:
- Staff are fantastic and very responsive, I don't think that I ever waited more than one day for any maintenance issue to be resolved
- Our part of the complex is very quiet in terms of community noise, I rarely hear any of my neighbours
- Grounds are impeccably maintained, trimmed, cut and clean
- Safe - never had anything broken into or stolen. I think the gates on the parking lot help.
- Storage is plentiful with walk-in closet and extra storage unit (management threw it in when we asked for it)
- The pool is wonderful - heated during the colder months, lane markings on the bottom
- The hot tub is well-maintained and clean-looking, I used it very often during my time here

CONS
- Residents are generally not friendly - most obey by the principle of no eye contact. I generally say "Hi" to everyone and I am often straight-up ignored. I got used to it, but it is annoying.
- Cupertino - it has been great to be so close to work but the town of Cupertino really doesn't have much going for it - except for an excellent school system. It isn't a very active community and the place shuts down at like 9pm (even the Starbucks on Wolfe!) except for the one English pub on Wolfe Road. Expect the need to leave Cupertino if you are in search of entertainment or social events.
- Gym is pretty basic
- Road noise is always there, but expected - I back onto Wolfe Road and you can still hear the traffic when windows and doors are closed, albeit faintly
- Construction - Has been going on for the past month to re-pour the cement walkways and landings for the building I am renting in. It has been pretty invasive although it has been managed professionally. We had our rent reduced $300 / mo. for each month affected.
