I first found this apartment through an add on Craig's List. The person looking for a roommate went on for three paragraphs about how this was the best place she ever lived. Well is it' Read on.
First lets find out if this is the living space for you. Both bedrooms are large, as well as a large living room. In the bedrooms alone I have enough space for a queen size bed, 36 inch TV, dresser, desk, and two bookcases, and the living room seems to be twice the size of the bedrooms.
If you want a spacious apartment, this is the place for you.
As for the maintenance and construction, when my garbage disposal broke and my sink flooded, there was a brand new garbage disposal in my sink within 24 hours. Whenever something needs fixing, they just go ahead and replace it with a brand new part and or appliance, and it gets done quickly. As for the construction, the apartment does a very good job of staying cool in the summer and hot in the winter. The lighting and layout of the apartment is very usable. My only complaint would be that the power outlets don't grip the plugs well causing the plugs to slip out during activities like vacuuming.
If you want a knowledgeable and responsive maintenance staff, this is the place for you.
My experience with the staff has always been good. They are friendly and responsive when I have a problem, and they've given me leeway when I've had problems making the rent. I had a roommate I had to kick out because she didn't pay her share of the rent, and they were willing to role her portion of the rent into the next month to give me time to get the funds together. Also, the person who claims that they harras you if you are a day late for the rent has no idea what he/she is talking about because they give you a three day grace period to get the rent in.
If you want a friendly staff this is the place for you.
I usually don't have a problem in my apartment with noise. My other roommates usually can't hear what's on my TV, and you only get the typical occasional bump you'd expect to hear from an upstairs apartment. My only complaint is that my next door neighbors like to play prayer music as loud as they can at 10 in the morning.
If you want a fairly quite apartment, then this is the place for you.
Parking is one of the downsides to living here. To put it frankly, there just isn't enough of it. You get one assigned spot and as long as you get here before 7pm you can find a spot in visitor parking. But come in after then, and have two cars, you might end up parking in the neighborhood.
If you have two cars and want a close parking spot for both of them, this isn't the place for you.
