Prometheus Management are CROOKS! I had been living here for years under other managment. I moved into another unit. Signed the lease and they later left a copy on my door. Then I discovered, they'd gone in, and check marked the box on my previously signed lease, saying I'd pay water/garbage. I'd never paid before. When I asked about this, I was told they'd been doing this for 2 years for each new tennant who came in. When I pointed out I'd lived here for 13 years and was only switching apartments, I was told I was a "new tennant". Never MIND the ILLEGAL act of going back over my signed lease and adding info without my knowledge!
This is only the begining. The apts are all electric. My PGE bill last month for the smallest apt was almost $90 and I never turn the heat on!!! Can't, because they leave soot marks all over the walls when they are used.
I have been infested with ants since I moved in and they have sprayed and they are STILL here. I was told by the exterminator that landscaping on the property is full of bushes that are especially attractive to ants and that they know of it and refuse to do a thing about it.
I constantly have trouble with the water. The pressure is low, they are always turning it off and I've had to shower in cold water in the mornings for lack of hot water. Even after waiting 20 minutes!
The management is rude. There are too many ridiculous rules. They make a point of sending out notices about noise, yet they refuse to do anything about excsessively noisy neighbors. I was in my new apt just two months when I discovered a HOLE in the roof! You'd think this would be taken care of BEFORE you move someone in.
These places are old and have NO airconditioning. My apt can get to be over 90 in the summer and it's miserable.
We pay a hefty price for living in Cupertino. Many other, newer, nicer apartments are available with all the ammenities. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PIT!
