I lived at Villa Serra apartments for 4 years. Compared to other apartments in the area, they are bigger and have very nice amenities, including a nice recreational center and 2 pools. They also have a decent fitness center, ample parking, and good laundry facilities. The so-called tennis court and volleyball court are jokes. The complex itself is very well-maintained and they have security on patrol at night. However, it is questionable how effective the security is, as my car still got broken into.



The management team is rude and uncooperative. They are unresponsive to repairs and it often takes several phone calls before anything gets fixed. Also, during the dot-com boom, they raised the rent more often and more aggressively (15-20% two years in a row) than other apartment buildings in the area. Forget bargaining. You can be sure that once the economy picks up, so will the rent.
