I am looking for an apartment for my daughter and thought I should check out this site. But it is very clear that people will only take time to give negative feedback and never take the time to give a thank you or make a comment when they are happy. 90% of the comments I have read for this site and other complexes are ALL the same. As a previous renter I have had a share of unpleasant experiences but WE all need to take responsibility for our participation in every situation we find ourselves in instead of blaming the rest of the world. There are ALWAYS two sides to every story. I would take comments on anyone of these sites with a grain of salt.

I guarantee you haven't actually lived here. I've lived in four different rental communities, and had a variety of experiences (good and bad), but Villa Serra is the worst experience I've ever had. It is quite literally third-world: no running water several days a week, trash everywhere, outbuildings and amenities demolished on a regular basis, and you can smell (even taste) the thick dust from the construction in the air if you walk by on the street. And that's just the construction.
They have a huge problem with petty crime (vandalism, stealing, etc.) because they're now the cheapest place in Cupertino to live. The management also ignores maintenance requests as a matter of practice until you've complained at least three times. I had the simplest thing go wrong: a burned out light bulb. Took them five complaints over EIGHT MONTHS to get it fixed, two of which were to the Prometheus Corporate Office.
Not only should you not rent here, but you should never, ever, ever, rent anywhere that displays the Prometheus name. If you do, then you are one of those people who needs to take responsibility for their participation.
Until you've actually lived there, shut up!

The problem people are having right now is with the construction currently going on.
Instead of devolving into a he-said/she-said argument, I suggest that any renter just come to the complex and see the state the apartment is in. When you see the giant construction vehicles that are not properly fenced off, the giant muddy potholes everywhere, you'll know who is right.
Also, check out "Mansion Grove", another property managed by Prometheus that is having even worse problems than here; problems so bad there is a class action lawsuit being processed. Prometheus is the problem and I will never rent from them again.

I know there are always two sides of the story, but have u consider this. Who would want to waste writing bad review for an Apartment if they didn't really hate their experience their?? The thing is, most of the people write these review so that other people won't come to place like Villa Serra and sign a contract that they would later regret.

People in general only write reviews when they hate something. There are usually many satisfied people that don't do anything. Now that said, I drove by here over the weekend as I am apartment hunting. I cannot imagine how they have ANY tenants left. The amount of construction going on is staggering.
